Showing Bandwidth to CJK (SC2004) 2004.12.07
KISDI together with Kyushu University and CERNET was co-mentioned at 'SC 2004 Awardees' for their efforts for better joint research infrastructure among CJK(China-Japan-Korea) in diverse fields such as HEP(High Energy Physics), Culture Performance on IP, Medical Science and so on.

We have established high bandwidth Internet among China, Japan Korea and are developing the advanced applications using this advanced Internet. In this showing, we introduced our activities using this Internet among these 3 Asian countries using practice applications such as advanced multimedia streaming tools i.e. HD over MPEG2. And we focused bandwidth using measurement tools and visualized measurement data. Finally we tried to get high band width among China, Japan and Korea. Getting more than 100Mbps even through 3 counties is surely interesting from many views, Internet operations, Traffic Engineering and Political issues. We displayed the recent history of our Internet, how we get high bandwidth Internet among our countries, CJK.

SC 2004 is the premier international conference on high performance computing, networking and storage. The SC2004 theme, Bridging Communities, ties the program components together and demonstrates how high performance computing, networking and storage touch all scientific disciplines, promote interdisciplinary projects, affect the educational process through the use of computers in modeling and simulation in the classroom, and solve heretofore unsolvable problems in biotechnology, weather research, astronomy, drug research, wearable sensors and many other applications.
