o WG Description:
Physics WG is to facilitate cooperation among large physical science areas and help exchange information about networks, application areas, and global researches. The followings are the main focuses of the year 2005.
- Prediction of amount of data to be generated in each area (HEP, ITER, Earthquake, VLBI)
- Transfer large volume data over TEIN/APII, identify problems and discuss solutions
- Build network performance monitoring systems with international research partners
o Milestone/Actions:
- May~July: Prediction of amount of data generated (HEP, VLBI, ITER, Earthquake)
- June~July: Data transfer test (Korea/Japan, Korea/China)
- July~August: Data transfer test (Korea/USA, Korea/Europe)
- June~October: Identify transfer problems
- August~September: Build monitoring system (Korea/Japan, Korea/China)
- September~October: Build monitoring system (Korea/USA, Korea/Europe)
- November: Final Report
